June 27th - KC & Rolling Stones

If you didn’t follow me on Snapchat, you should (@ ayetnguyen) I had over 100 seconds of my KC adventure!

Brian got us tickets to see Rolling Stones at Arrowhead Stadium awhile back. I found out recently that Ed Sheeran is opening for them! I know some of the ‘Stones songs but honestly I was more excited to see Ed.

Started the day early at 9am to drive from Lincoln to KC. This was my first time in KC and I was so excited! We didn’t have any plans before the concert so we winged it.

We ended up picking Aquarium for the first half of the day! Luckily it was near a cool mall so we stopped there for lunch. KC is apparently known for their BBQ, so we had to try some! We went to Three Little Pigs, it was good! There was also a Kona Ice truck outside the mall. Considering we just came back from Kona, Hawaii I got the shaved ice.

I also got a picture with a giant ice cream cone. Life is amazing.

Next up was the SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium! Check them out here: https://www.visitsealife.com/kansas-city/

As a member of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, I didn’t have high expectations of this aquarium. It was pretty good! I’m highly impressed of SEA LIFE as a company that helps saves different animals species around the U.S.

I love sea horses. they are my third favorite sea animals (after sea turtles and whales)

We ended up picking Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to go to before the concert. IT WAS FANTASTIC. I documented my favorite pieces.

One of the main shows going on was Notes on Creativity by Ferran Adria. Adria is a world known chef who does weeks of research in preparing a dish. This gallery was his notes on food and dishes.

Ended with Greek and Catholic art! The museum closed before we could see Medival art (THEY HAD A KNIGHT). Next time I’m in KC, I’m gonna go back!

Then came the Rolling Stones! I don’t know many of their songs but they are great entertainers. But I can’t unsee Mick’s hip movements. The guy really has moves.
